Settrly (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides an AI assistant for newcomers and international students. Settrly acts as the data controller for personal data processed through the service.

  • User content: documents you upload, prompts, and AI conversations.
  • Support communications.
  • Usage and telemetry: device identifiers, IP address, log data.

3. Why We Use It

  • To create and maintain your account (contract).
  • To provide AI features on your documents and prompts (contract).
  • To prevent fraud and secure the service (legitimate interests).
  • To improve the product (legitimate interests).
  • To provide customer support (contract).
  • To send service-related communications (contract / legitimate interests).

4. Who We Share Data With

  • Hosting, database, and analytics service providers (subprocessors).
  • AI model providers that process prompts to generate responses.
  • Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for payments, subscription management, tax compliance, and invoicing.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
  • Authorities where required by law.

5. International Transfers

Personal data may be processed outside your country. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

6. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. After deletion or closure, we delete or anonymise data when no longer needed, subject to legal retention obligations.

Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us via in-app support to exercise these rights; we aim to respond within one month.
